The idea for Seniors in Tech started when I taught my mom how to use a messaging app. At first, it felt like teaching an unfamiliar and overwhelming language.
But once she got it, she felt empowered and even showed her friend how to use it. Together, they created a chat group to stay connected.
From there, I began helping more seniors. I kept seeing the same pattern: a deep fear of entering a digital world not built for them, and an equally deep desire to stay connected.
That’s why I started Seniors in Tech (SIT) — to make technology feel simple, safe, and welcoming for older adults.
We design simple, thoughtful tablet apps made specifically for older adults — apps that are clear, calming, and made with their needs in mind. Because no one should feel left out of the digital age. Especially not our parents and grandparents.
